Brooklinen, Boll and Branch or other

All of a sudden, every set of my king sheets decided to bite the dust.

I’m trying to find a nice solid set of sheets. The last 2 sets I’ve bought are field crest brand from target but I’m wondering if I should branch out. With a promo code, the basic sheets from brooklinen are cheaper than the field crest at target.

I just want soft sheets that don’t ride up and stay on my king bed.

I searched for a thread and found an old one but since things are quiet, I thought I’d try a new one ;)

I tend to just buy at TJ Maxx or Home Goods (often the Ralph Lauren sets) and I've had pretty good luck. BUT people do seem to rave about the Costco sheets and seems many of my podcasts advertise for Brooklinen!!!

(yes! Start a new thread if there is nothing current!) :)

I need a new set as well. We recently stayed at a B&B that had great bedding- all from The Company Store so I’m thinking of trying those. I don’t know what brand I’m currently using but I know they’re not cotton and I think I’d like to go back to a crisp yet soft cotton set . I’ve never tried the brands you mention but do see them advertised often. Thx for starting a new thread!

I’ve found that I’ve had less luck with sheets since we got a king bed. When I had a Queen, my sheets stayed on and laid flat. Now I am having a harder time finding sheets that I’m happy with.

Has anyone had a similar experience.

I could be more picky... I am getting old

Love my Boll and Branch flannels for winter. Just got 2 sets of COSTCO for our 2 guest rooms and they seem nice. I use Sheex for summer sheets in our room. All are Queen, though.

Simply Vera Wang from Kohls are heavy but feel very crisp. And they hold up well.

Someone gave me sheets from Unison and they are great. I think I would only buy them on sale, though, unless I were in love with the pattern.

@deb922 have you ever slept at a hotel where you really loved the bedding? You could call and see if they can tell you what they use.

I've mentioned them before on other sheet threads, but we are very happy with our LL Bean sheets. We've had them for over 2 years now and they are as good as new. Sturdy yet soft and comfortable.

^^ LL Bean sheets are a good value. Definitely feel good and hold up. Not as thick or crisp as some.

Love love love my LL Bean percale sheets. So far holding up very well. Another unexpected treasure are the decent (but not super high thread count) sheets from Sam's Club (solid colors). Price can't be beat and my guests have commented positively on them. Much better than sheets I've tried from Costco in the past.

We’ve had a king bed for 25 years. I’ve lately been buying the Sams Club sheets for all of our beds. I love them. They are cotton and, I think, 450 count. We have a very deep mattress but they fit well and stay in place. Most importantly, they are cool which is important to this menopausal female. They seem to be on sale every couple months but they just had them on sale in early August so probably a couple months until they run another member discount.

My sheets from bed, bath and beyond started getting holes. I bought one set from boll and branch and we liked them so much we also bought another.
I also use a satin pillowcase but it hasn’t magically transformed my hair. Two steps out the door and this humidity does a number on it.

Thanks! I found a set of Ralph Lauren at TJ Maxx today. I’m also going to order a set from Brooklinen.

Another question, how many sets of sheets do you have for your beds. I have one set for each of our guest beds but 2 sets for our bed. My sister only has one set, she washed them and puts them right back on the bed but I like to have a back up set. When the kids were home, I had 2 sets for each of their beds but as they’ve worn out, I’ve only have one set per guest bedroom

Two sets for our main bed but largely use the same one over and over. More than # of sets per bed I tend to have a # of sets per size of bed. So when we had a couple of twin beds I would probably have 3 or 4 sets. Now we have 1 queen and 2 fulls in the house - so we have 2 queen sets, a few fulls and even a couple of saved twins for the aerobed if it needs to get used.

I have two sets per bed. Makes me crazy to have unmade beds, so I can’t wait for them to wash and dry (I’m one of those people who must make the bed as soon as I get up in the morning). Plus when kids were little, I always wanted backup in case they got sick in middle of the night.

Company Store. Expensive but worth every penny. Wait for a sale (there is always one). I think we get the 400 long staple cotton ones. Have some from years ago that have held up spectacularly.

I only buy fitted sheets for our bed. We use gauze blankets as a top sheet in the summer (lighter than air!) and a duvet in the winter so can wash the blanket and duvet cover like sheets. I make my own pillowcases which are much nicer than the ones you can buy. I do use a top sheet on the guest bed. I like the Ikea sheets with cotton and lyocell. Talk about crisp!

I always had the problem of fitted sheets coming loose until I got a memory foam mattress. Now they stay tight.

Putting the duvet back in the cover is one of my most hated activities, so I try not to have to wash the covers very often! :)
