@brickkicker congratulations! Yes, definitely a good problem to have but it is hard. I well remember the stress of deciding with S17 and it's so hard to watch!

Hey @rfm512 ! I’m the person whose twins applied EA to Hampshire, and who were SO disappointed. We had already submitted our apps at that point and, unlike the ED applicants, didnt really feel we could add further colleges. We’ve had some acceptances, but nothing like Hampshire. Congrats to your daughter! Think she’ll pick east or west coast?

@Britmom5 Hi again! I hope your twins have somewhere they are excited about! By the time the Hampshire thing was finally over, I think my D was just so pissed at how it was handled, it made it easier to move on. Its hard to say as of today where she will go.

I think she is less than psyched about New School's urban "campus" and Sarah Lawrence seems quite isolated. I think she thought SLC would be more interested in her because it is very similar in teaching style to Hampshire but no merit money offered. Univ of Puget Sound is so gorgeous and feels "warm and fuzzy"and much easier for us to get to from NM than the east coast, but her primary interest is psychology and Clark's program is so strong. Until we hear from Clark, she will not make a decision however, based on location alone, it would definitely be west coast.

The best advice I have read on CC and I passed on to my D was to "love the schools that love you". Once she started to think in those terms, its like her perspective totally changed. She was no longer interested in the "reach" where she would be lucky just to be there and started to see other schools as "smart" for recognizing her special accomplishments.

@rfm512. That’s what I keep telling my boys - but, unfortunately some of the the schools that love them the most don’t have exactly the majors they are looking for. One S19 applied to UMAss, and got into Honors college with some merit - and he REALLY loved the pioneer valley. Maybe he’ll get to experience the [FOUR] college consortium yet! Good luck with Clark!

@Britmom5 Ahhh! Yes! Congrats on Umass and Honors at that! What majors are they interested in?
