tuition exchange timing

I'm a long time lurker who owes much to these forums for clueing me into this crazy adventure of college searching, applying, etc. Can't thank you all enough.

So here is my dilemma: S20 applied early decision to his first choice college and received admission and TE soon after. We were thrilled and grateful and immediately accepted the financial offer and fully committed -- sent $500 deposit, etc.

It now seems possible that I will no longer be employed by the exporting TE member institution after this June. I am wondering if that means his TE scholarship for '20-'21 will be revoked. Or will my job loss only effect the following year, after the annual recertification process (next spring, I think) reveals that he is no longer TE-eligible?

Thanks in advance for any insights or experience you can share.
