Thank you all once again. It means a LOT!

I am grateful that my daughter, in lieu of her ordeal and situation, is now getting such positive college news and that it did not end up that she was laying in a hospital bed and getting rejection after rejection to top it off. Today, AGAIN she got an acceptance and is again very happy and feeling affirmed. She got into Boston Conservatory with a scholarship. She has yet to hear from Carnegie Mellon. She got her financial aid award (included very substantial scholarship) from Emerson today but they have yet to tell her if she is into the BFA program there, though was admitted to the college back in December. She was not yet been told if she got into Honors College there (to which she applied). She called and asked about it and they said not until April 15? Makes no sense to me cause who is going to weigh an offer at that point when the other offers are on the table? But she is batting really well. I am almost embarrassed to admit it given the very difficult odds of getting into any of these BFA programs and seeing kids closed out. But right now, I'm glad my daughter has something this happy as she goes through recovery. And the other big news is that she finally gets off of bedrest tomorrow after living for three weeks in a hospital bed. She will have to go up the stairs on her butt but I don't think she cares. She has a ways to go but this is surely a big step. My other daughter is here now and so things are pretty good in my house all things considered.

Thanks again for the warm thoughts everyone!

So glad to hear more good news about your daughter - health-wise and admittance-wise!

Is she leaning toward any school yet?

Thanks for sharing the good news. The story of the senior who did not make it is heartbreaking. What her parents must be feeling...

CONGRATS! I know how this feels - we are also waiting for 3 envelopes. I am new to these threads, but in the last couple days, I feel as though I have come to know you all. We all share in the trepidation and joy. One's joy is ours, too, as we anxiously wait.

    Susan,

Here's one more thing. I can tell from your posts and what you say that you honor obligations. I hereby and I bet all of us completely remove any obligation to reply to emails. That's the least we can do given all you have been taking care of lately. I hope spring is come now to Vermont and if not, here is some cyberspring from California. Congratulations for your daughter and looking forward to hearing her if she should ever decide to go on the "A" company tour of her first Bway musical.

    Susan,

Congratulations on the list of amazing schools that D has to choose from. Thank goodness that all is going well with her recovery. Although her feet may not be able to do it now, in her heart I know she is doing the dance of joy and we are all dancing for her (ok, I'll confess, I'm doing it badly but dancing just the same :)).
