Have I ruined my chances of getting into master's program for not working last 2 summers?

I am second year student studying Undergrad in Canada, gonna be in third year this September. I have a huge passion in the field of neuroscience and want to become neuroscientist (PhD). I am thinking of doing master's first and then the PhD. But because I have suffered from severe anxiety and OCD, I could not work this summer and the last one. I was on medication and did alot of yoga, swimming, gymming and meditation to improve my mental state. And fortunately, now I am alot lot better than before and I am sure that I will work next summer. I now rarely get panic attacks, maybe once in a 3-4months, (before i used to get almost every day). And Im highly energetic and active nowadays.

I have a 3.8 GPA which I think is good but the only thing lacking is the work experience during the last two summers. So is there still hope for me? What is the next step? Please help!!!
