Prereq vs noprereq

Is it worse to get a B on a prereq course or a nonprereq course? Specifically, I got a B+ on English Lit. How does that compare to getting a B+, say, on some BCPM like physics? Thanks.

it's "better" to get a B in a non-BCPM course, because you're gonna affect your overall gpa anyways, so might as well keep your BCPM gpa high.
