What’s a good Forgien vet school outside the US where i can start working for my doctors degree?

ℹ️ am a sophomore in high school and I’ve been wanting to become a vet for an extremely long time (at least that’s what it feels like). Since ℹ️ was a freshman many people have started talking about colleges and where they would like to go, and With Junior year coming up I’ve been thinking about it a lot. (Let me get to the point) ℹ️ have already planned on staying in the United States for my first 4 Years for undergraduate, but ℹ️ don’t plan on staying here for any longer. ℹ️ would like to end up working as an exotic vet someday in Mexico, Australia or South Africa. ℹ️ really would like to go and get my doctors degree in one of those countrys/continent. Does anyone have any suggestions for colleges?

For college I would first look at the requirements of the foreign vet schools you are interested in. Then choose a US college that meets the requirements for the least debt. Foreign vet schools can be very expensive. The list of veterinary schools in the places you mentioned are below. I have heard that the vet school in Austrailia are pretty good and I have heard to stay away from the ones in Mexico but that isn't from any specific knowledge.

In Austrailia the first three are the top rated schools
Charles Sturt University School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences
James Cook University Faculty of Medicine Health and Molecular Sciences
Murdoch University School of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences
University of Adelaide School of Veterinary Science
University of Melbourne Faculty of Veterinary Science
University of Queensland Faculty of Veterinary Science
University of Sydney Faculty of Veterinary Science

    South Africa
University of Pretoria Faculty of Veterinary Science

    Mexico
Autonomous Agrarian University of "Antonio Narro" Unidad Laguna Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Autonomous University of Aguascalientes Center for Agricultural Sciences
Autonomous University of Baja California Institute of Investigations in Veterinary Sciences
Autonomous University of Juárez City Institute of Biomedical Sciences
Autonomous University of Mexico State Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Autonomous University of Nuevo León Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Autonomous University of Querétaro Faculty of Natural Sciences[213]
Autonomous University of Tamaulipas Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Autonomous University of Yucatán Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Autonomous University of Zacatecas Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Centro de Estudios Universitarios Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
Metropolitan Autonomous University, Xochimilco Division of Biological Sciences and Health
Michoacana University of San Nicolás of Hidalgo Division for Biological and Agricultural Sciences
National Autonomous University of Mexico Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics
National Autonomous University of Mexico Graduate School of Cuautitlán
Sonora Institute of Technology Department of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences
Universidad Veracruzana Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics

For your undergraduate degree, choose a college where the cost of attending is very low, where you can attain a high GPA and where you will be able to acquire the leadership skills, vet experience and complete the pre requisites. You will also have to receive a high GRE score. The AVMA website offers a wealth of information for you: www.avma.org/public/Careers/Pages/vet-school-admission-101.aspx

Concerning vet schools, you are a long way off, but I would suggest that you look at ONLY AVMA accredited schools.

I agree with @ECmotherx2 if you EVER plan on practicing in the US. If you don't that is your choice and you can study where you plan to live which is why I gave you that list. I would never suggest it to a person that had ANY desire to practice in the US. If so ONLY AVMA accredited schools should be selected!
