What do all you preppies do during the weekend? Specifics from HADES schools would be appreciated!

Well I don't go to a HADES school so I can't really give you much input from that perspective, but I would think it's pretty similar to what goes on at my school. There's always mall trips, random town events, stuff like that. We frequently have dances with other boarding schools (I was going to one this weekend but it got cancelled due to snow) which are sometimes fun! Honestly though it isn't very exciting :P Lots of homework and trying to find random fun things to do!

We have dances often, and there's always shuttles into the next town over, which has stores to shop at their. There was a trip to Northhampton this weekend, and that town has lots of little shops and good restaurants. School based activities happen every week, and in the spirit of Halloween, we had a Halloween bash. Usually, there's always something to do, whether you're going to a friends game, going to town, or doing homework. I've yet to be bored here.

Thanks :) But are you assigned a lot of homework during the weekends? It seems like life at B.S. is so busy, with so little sleep!

We don't have very much homework on the weekend...even if you are assigned what you think to be a large load believe me when I say that you'll soon learn to make smart decisions about when to do it (on a friday night when you aren't do anything else?) or just on sunday afternoons in a dorm common room with friends so that you can get everything done before study hall!
Oh! and we also have occasional trips to the city/mall near Deerfield...and we also had a trip to six flags a few weeks ago! It's hard to be bored when you live with your friends!

Yeah we don't have any like any extensive amount of homework, it's the same as any other night. You learn to get it down in a few hours. Sometimes I wait till study hall on Sunday night, other times I spread it out. There's always time to do something fun! This weekend I'm going on a day hike up a mountain in the Adirondacks with a practicum I'm in and also helping out again on the fall play. It's not boring!

Also, is it very difficult to keep in touch with public school friends or tell them you're leaving? How did you guys do both?
