^ I'm packing right now and we have dances this month. Can I wear shorts and shirts or rompers? Do your shoulders need to be covered? or like are the dress code guidelines looser?

Dress codes for dances vary by school and are often covered in the handbook. Generally, whatever is accepted for non-class dress is accepted for a dance. So no problem with shorts and rompers, in general. Provocative dress, clothes promoting drugs/liquor, and the like, will always be frowned upon.

St. Paul's first dance was last weekend. Many of the boys wore goofy attire - my son had on shorts, pink button down shirt, USA socks and a flamingo hat.
