Choate - McCook House (dorm)

Anyone know what the make up of rooms is in McCook House. My daughter has been assigned there with 4 other new 4th Form girls. Wondering if they might be in doubles, triples or singles. Thanks.

One of the Choate dorms was hit by lightning lightning this week. There is a big hole in the roof. Everyone is ok. Check it out 🙀 🥓

Daughter was there 4th form year. She had a single and liked it a lot. The dorm is in a good location. Daughter to me that McCook has the reputation as being a house that was popular among the heavy academic crowd, although everyone is pretty academic at Choate to start with. Daughter was in KEC 5th form year (she loved the KEC program) and was a Prefect her 6th form year. Daughter would have asked for McCook for 5th and 6th form years if those other opportunities didn't arise.

Thank you so much for the info! It sounds like your daughter did really well at Choate! Can you confirm that McCook is all singles?

Sorry - not on the site often and DD is now off at college. I didn't know the answer to your question and I am sure you daughter knows the answer to your question now. I hope your daughter is enjoying McCook! Transitions can take a little time but I know it is a nice place and hope she has a great year. Have her look into the KEC for future years.
