What are my chances? (Choate, Loomis, Taft, Cheshire)

I am applying as a day student for 9th grade to Choate, Loomis, Taft, and Cheshire. This year, I have all A's so far and in the past 2 years I have had just a couple B-pluses. All of my report card comments are good, and my SSAT is pretty good as well. I have fabulous recommendations and my essays are very good too.
ECs:
- Play for one of the top travel softball teams in the state
- Piano for 6 years, great recommendation from my teacher
- Clarinet for 4 years (concert band) , first chair, great recommendation from my teacher
- Recently joined travel volleyball
- Jazz band (piano)
- Chorus
- Middle School softball team
- Also read A LOT and love creative writing (actually did a workshop at Loomis)
- History Day Club last year

Subjective and other stuff:
- I have been in the high math class for two years, good rec from math teacher
- 2 year honor roll student
- Also recs from English, band, piano, school counselor
- Essay good
- All interviews were very good, especially Choate and Loomis

I also talked to the softball coaches at all 4 and they gave me recommendations to admissions. Same with arts at Choate and Cheshire

Tell me what you think? Thank you! 😀

I think that you need an SSAT score before anyone can give a meaningful assessment of your chances of admission to any of these schools.

I don't really want to reveal my score. Does anyone have an opinion for me without my SSAT?

Have you won any nationally or locally recognized awards?

Well, you have a better chance than me, though your ECs could be stronger. Good luck!

You’ll get in, especially since you don’t need FA

You’ve described your recommendations as “fabulous”, your essays as “very good”, the coaches are recommending you, and you know your SSAT score (and most likely the schools’ median). You already know the answer for Cheshire, and I suspect you have a strong suspicion what the answer is for at LEAST one of the other 3 schools. Good luck!

Really tough to say. Depends on how many others apply from your area. For Choate, for example, that's a high income state so many kids will be prepared and might be coming from various prep schools. I'd imagine competition will be stiff from other day students. I don't know the other schools. My nephew goes to Choate so I know it well. But I don't know the day student population. It seems like the wealthiest towns in CT are a little bit far driving distance wise. That's good for you. Will reduce the competition from public school kids from great school systems and private schools on the "gold coast" Still it won't be a breeze. I'd imagine a few parents who live in Fairfield or elsewhere drive to work near Choate and could accommodate driving a kid there and back. People in that area are used to long commutes and lots of traffic.

@ilovechoateeeee I won the geography bee and spelling bee in 6th grade and I was in the local newspaper for that. Thank you guys so much for the opinions! This really made me less anxious.

Cheshire Academy offers a "shadow day" for prospective students after the application is submitted. If I go, would there be more of a chance that I get in? Idk but maybe because I am showing interest

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I had to change my status at Taft from day to boarding, because they said that I would be their farthest day student and that would make me less likely to be accepted. Now that I switched, do I have a better chance?

Yes. That is a personal contact and was aimed at helping you get in. If you were not a person of interest, day or boarding, then they'd never call and just issue a rejection.

I guess my biggest weakness is that I'm from a WAY over represented state, but I'm also a URM so that's kinda good :D
