I have heard that the Charlotte area is super competitive (just under Raleigh/Cary area), but your stats are really good but it really depends on your SAT/ACT scores. Also, I recommend research or community service to increase your chances.

Hello. I am currently in 8th grade and I have planned my freshman and sophomore courses. I don't have a ton of ecs but I am going deeper into them (a lot of people advised me quality over quantity.) I wanted to know if I was good enough for NCSSM, as I've had my heart set on it for a while lol. I live in CD4, which is quite competitive.

    9th - courses I applied for
    English I Honors
    Biology Honors
    World History Honors
    Precalculus Honors
    Word/PPt honors
    Excel Honors
    Health Honors

    10th- my plan
    English II Honors
    AP Calc AB
    AP Calc BC
    Honors Chem
    AP Chem
    AP Human Geo
    AP Psych
    Spanish 4 Honors

My high school doesn't allow APs in your freshman year, nor does it have an orchestra.
    ecs
    violin
    club + school volleyball
    science olympiad varsity
    planning to do hosa/deca/envirothon
