My daughter just got back her recent ACT score and got a 36 composite score. She is scheduled to take the SAT on Oct 6....is there anything to be gained from taking the test or should she just go w her ACT score?

For the purposes of the Princeton application? No. Although it won't matter for Princeton, she may want/need to take the SAT for National Merit Finalist purposes.

Note: Some colleges require you to report all the test scores ... even if the score is not good.

Can't get better than 36. Why chance getting a lower equivalent SAT score? Your daughter doesn't have anything to gain by taking SAT especially since it's SAT OR ACT at Princeton. No need to take both.

Unless she needs a confirmation score for NMF, I wouldn't take anything else.
