I'm not on CC much at all but I'll be following this thread from afar- wishing you all the best! They're doing a really nice job in accommodating the transfer students here and I everyday I'm away from the campus I miss it so much more.
It is super challenging, seriously, but damn do I love it, and the others too. It's kind of strange actually :))

Not an official statement, but I believe the intention is to accept more transfer students this cycle. Nothing crazy, maybe 3-5 more, but still an increase! Can't wait to see the new faces in a few months, good luck everyone!

@AGoodFloridian wondering if you can elaborate on the housing situation for the transfers (Vets specifically). I'm a part of a non-profit in the space (S2S) and wondering if I can get the latest update on any good Princeton details for folks in the pipeline that are applying!

How did you manage to find out about the potential increase in acceptance pool size? It's exciting :)

Congratulations btw; any advice for someone trying to transfer from a 4-year university? I'm not exactly non-traditional which has me a bit worried..

@AGoodFloridian Do you have any tips for transfer applicants to princeton? In terms of essays, scores, and whatnot?

Helping a friend apply currently. Anyone noticing the website wanting the mid term report and officials report while the common app doesn’t mention them? Still requiring both? Or a remnant of last years cycle on their website? GL to everyone

so I gave in 4 different arts supplements that I am all really good at. My recommendation letters are going to be very good because of one professor I got really close with. my GPA is pretty bad (3.576) but honestly, I'm sure it's gonna be a lot better after this semester. my essays really focused on a lot of my struggles with OCD and what I did to overcome it, also my reasoning for going to Princeton, like professors, classes, and etc. I made some grammatical errors in the short responses though and that's my only problem. I hope my high school GPA doesn't affect it that much as I went through a lot of stuff. I had around a 2.0 unfortunately. Extracurricular wise I spent a lot of time on music, my dad's alumni association, BMI, and photography. photography I was in for over 4 years now and for music and the alumni thing I've been involved for over 9 - 10 years, completely self-taught as well. Hopefully, I can show my better sides through this application. I was brutally honest with everything. wish me luck guys, and sorry for my grammar.

Hey guys whats up? I'm applying to Princeton as well for a junior transfer in fall 2019 from the University of Toronto for Computer Science. My GPA is 4.0, SAT is 1470, released multiple games on the Play Store, Pearson Scholar, established author, and have launched a startup. What are my chances?

Can never be too sure @usernameunknown and @Tygermas
If it helps, I am sure that you guys will be given a good chance based on merit. Don't stress out too much, yall got this. There's no guaranteed.

Going from that, Ig I should give some information on who I am. Applying as a one year transfer for Fall 2019. 3.8 GPA ACT 30, Math Major. Trying to transfer because I am without any math classes to take at my CC. Unlike other transfer applicants, I am sort of on the younger side (turning 17 soon) so I don't have the same experiences like everyone else. That being said, best of luck!

@Tygermas You're applying at a good time but be aware that you'll most likely start as a sophomore here. Junior year is notoriously a challenge for both BSE and AB majors here, and jumping onto the train at that stage is... not encouraged. I can't speak for your chances but if you have a solid reason to be leaving an already strong institution like Toronto then you're o.k.

@2k2d Don't worry about the age, however if things don't work out I would recommend that you finish your second year at CC. I'm not saying this as an empty statement either, I was in your shoes during my first year at CC. I got impatient(not saying you are) and wanted to leave asap. I applied to a list of schools hoping that my winning smile and good grades would carry me. it goes without saying that that didn't turn out well for me at all.

In that second year I buckled down, applied for internships, scholarships, more internships, and came back to the admission cycle one more time to kick ***, and it couldn't have gone better.

Are there any local universities that you could take more math classes in? Also consider online courses. They probably won't be recognized but you'd come in here with a strong math background like most of the whizzes in the math department.. those kids are on a whole new level lmao

    @AGoodFloridian

Thanks for sharing that information! I will definitely try again next year if things don't end well haha.

Unfortunately, the closest university is a public university and I would be required to be a student to get credit. I've actually sat in a few lectures there and was able to attend an interesting conference in mathematics there as well. The cost of getting is too high for me to manage ($30 there and back to my place since my parents can't drive far).

I'm considering on trying to see if I can talk to the head of the math department and try to get a placing in one of the classes at the University. Albeit, policies are always a problem.

    Hey all!
Another hopeful transfer student here. Looking to go to school this Fall after getting out of the military, so we'll see how this goes. Thought I had a good GPA (~3.96 with 80 credits) but so many of you have perfect GPA's and test scores, congrats and good luck everyone!
