Advanced Credit Exam

I am planning to take advanced credit exam for Calculus, What is the policy on placing the students into next level course after passing the test. What happens if they do not have any more spots in the next level course for that semester. Do they put you on waiting list.

I have been waitlisted for a class at Purdue before, but it was a small class in a small major. I would think that a large calculus class would have open spots, even after the semester starts. Plus people always drop classes in the first few weeks, so that helps.
