Does being a finalist for Questbridge help in the regular college admission process? Does it somewhat become a hook?

    Short answer: yes
    Slightly longer answer is: it depends.

    More selective schools like diversity, and being economically disadvantaged brings diversity to their school.

    As well, being a QB finalist means that you've already been through a selection process and schools notice.
