RPI vs University of Rochester

I was accepted at both schools (chem. eng. program). However, UR is charging us almost 20K more of what we would pay at RPI. Is UR really worth that money? I understand that UR is overall better ranked than RPI, but I'm not so sure about engineering programs.

It's up to you, but we like the vibe at U of R better. It seems to be a bit more holistic in the student experience, meaning they encourage clubs, performance and arts a lot more. The students at RPI seem a bit more serious. The M/F ratio at U of R is about 50/50, while it is a much higher M/F at RPI. A lot of it depends on your if you care about those things or not. As for RPI it has a much higher % of students that are engineers vs U of R, so you would be in good company.
