I have applied RD and was wondering what my chances look like or if you think I have any advantages in the admissions process.

Chemical Engineering major
Applying from competitive high school in NC (top 10%)
White Female
4.0 UW GPA, 4.57 W GPA
1550 SAT (800m, 750e)
SAT subject tests, 800 chem and 790 math II
9 APs (all 5s on the five exams I have taken including BC calc and chem)
Took multivariable calculus at UNC-Chapel Hill(A)
Solid ECs/Awards BUT unrelated to major: Leader of school ethics bowl (won states), leader of Latin club/tutoring, five consecutive gold medals on the National Latin Exam, National Merit Finalist
I wrote my CommonApp essay about my job/hobby as a kombucha brewer at a woman-owned company.

I have already been accepted at NC State and Georgia Tech for engineering. I was deferred from Princeton:/

You already have some terrific college choices. You seem like an excellent applicant. Rice receives so many applications from high achievers for RD, it is hard to predict how any particular applicant will do. Rice does not receive as many applications from NC as it does from Texas, New York, and California so you may have a slight geographical advantage. Rice receives slightly more applications from males than females so being female may help a bit too. Rice is probably familiar with your high school and its rigor. If your school has Naviance, it might give you some insight into how applicants to Rice from your high school have fared in the past.

Academically your scores are well above average which is always a good thing. However Rice also places a heavy weight on nonacademic community leadership activities. If those are strong as well then you would be nearly a sure thing for admission. If not you'd still have above-average prospects but there would be more uncertainty.

@ricegrad I have a fair bit of leadership on my resume, but most of it is academic.
