Rutgers scholarship?

I was wondering when do you get mail about what kind of scholarship are awarded to applicants based on their essay and all other areas.
I already received my admission acceptance mail package, with a certificate and info, nothing about scholarships, when do I receive scholarship notifications?

I just got into RU BS NB

    1920/2400
    1340/1600

Any idea if I will get any scholarship? Can I re-take the SAT in Dec/Jan and hope to get a better scholarship?

Yea, for scholarship purposes, Rutgers takes into account all tests taken before January 2010.

2 years ago my oldest daugher received the Presidential Scholarship (PS). I think then, the criteria was pretty much tied to SAT scores. She got 1510 and I think you needed 1500 to get the PS.

Now my youngest daughter is applying and she got 1500. Does anyone know how much they will weight the SAT's. I read on line that they are taking a wholistic view.

Also, 2 years ago , my daughter received the PS in the same letter as the acceptence, before Christmas. Now I understand the awards go out after the acceptance letter starting in Jan-March.

Since Rutgers is now being "wholistic" in awarding scholarships, it would be a great help if those who get merit awards could post their SAT scores and rank and GPA, and possible contributing factors like how many APs they took or anything else. It really complicates college planning now that Rutgers won't post anymore exactly what they'll give according to scores and rank. Did anyone recently admitted with an SAT CR+M >1350 get a merit award this year, and if so how much?

scholarship notifications start to come after mid january and there is no set sat score .A holistic review is now conducted.

This might also be the first year they look at all 3 sections of the SAT, so it will be interesting to see who gets what based on their stats.

From what I hear and have read, Rutgers does not have as much merit money to give out this year. So this wholistic approach means that some kids who meet the old ranking and score criteria will not get scholarship money, or will get less. If people post stats and awards this year, maybe we can figure out on what basis awards are being made. As I said before, this change by Rutgers really complicates college financial planning for some families that were counting on a sure scholarship there.

I just received a letter in the mail today stating that I received the Presidential Scholarship (full ride including room and board) for 4 years to the 2 schools I have been admitted to - SAS and SEBS. I wish I could be excited but of the 10 schools I applied to, Rutgers is my #10 choice :( I'll be waiting until April 1 to see my acceptances and offers before I make any decisions.

    Stats:
    SAT: 760 Reading 780 Math 780 Writing 1540/2320

    GPA: 4.42w 4.0uw

Class rank: 10/360 - (top 2 %) one of the more competitive public schools in north jersey

Fantastic Scores Flutisa1223 - where else did you apply?

I also received notification that I have been awarded the presidential scholarship. 2300/2400 (1500/1600); top 1% of my class.
Rutgers is pretty low on my list, but coming out of college debt-free is tempting..

Lblumen - I applied to: Columbia, Barnard, Yale, Duke, UNC, WUSTL, Pomona, Scripps, and Brandeis. I still have quite a while to wait to see where I get in. Ahhhhhhhh....

flutissa and xxr92, congrats on your impressive scholarship and stats. How many honors, APs and/or IB courses did you take? I am going to try to see whether this will be a factor.

flutissa, I think you will be accepted at a number of those colleges.
