area surrounding the campus, the campus in general. I guess I imagined something different? It seems to be a commuter school...

comparing it to other socal schools- sdsu's campus is lacking. LA, cal poly, SB all have awesome campuses. SDSU's campus is unique though, there is no real need to leave college area and all the houses and apartments are students...so even though it has a city feel to it- its def. a college town

I actually liked the campus, it's no UCLA but the school is a city itself, it's very entertaining and you'll always find something to do on campus, you don't have to leave. Even if you wanted to leave, there's a trolley that takes you down town etc. In the end the campus is how ever good you make it to be.

I thought the campus was very pretty, clean, and peaceful. I loved the architecture of the older buildings. Frat row seemed weird, though, maybe because it looked like a new suburban development/apartment building, but then I wouldn't spend much time there anyway. I found the food courts lacking/overly expensive/not very healthy. I didn't venture far off of the campus, but it seemed suburban* and boring around there. Are there real taquerias within walking distance? Having the trolley stop nearly in the middle of the campus is fab, though.

*I've never lived in the suburbs and come from a very urban area with tons of cafes, restaurants and unique boutiques just steps from my front door, so this is just my perspective. Someone coming from a suburb might find the area more urban than I do.

food is lacking...but tons of mexican joints real close...trujilos, la torta, panchos...all open late and bomb. 4.0 deli is amazing. Chipotle is great. Dominoes, Jack and pita pit within walking distance
