Why is SAT so hard?!

It's insane! I worked hard so hard since last summer preparing with so many resources. I had been scoring 750s in math, 650s-700s in writing, and 600s in reading. But, except for writing (right in the range), I got 100 points lower in math and reading sections. My friends were so upset with their SAT scores because their scores were lower than they expected. Are curves harsh? Is Collegeboard trying to make our lives miserable?! I just don't understand how this happened! SAT must be biased against us!
