Good composite but terrrible writing score?

I'm a sophomore currently and I just took the ACT without studying to see how I'd do. My composite score was a 30 (32 English, 27 Math, 30 Reading, 29 Science) I was planning on retaking it anyway next year but it was nice to have this score to fall back on. However, I just got my writing score and it was a 16/32. If I were to send this score how much would the bad writing score affect me. My top school choices are NYU, University of Michigan, and UC Berkely.
