SAT and applications

So I got a 1320 on one SAT I took with an essay score of 18. Then, I got another SAT score of 1400, but didn't take the essay that time. Which SAT score would it be more beneficial for me to send to colleges?

Send the 1400. Hardly any schools require the essay.

Almost every school either superscores or looks at your highest individual score. Any reason not to just send both?

But if both sections of your 1400 are higher, just sending that would have pretty much the same result.

This assumes none of the schools require the essay - but I don't think you'd be asking if they did.
