Is this Math 2 SAT II score good?

martinalex58martinalex58 Registered User Posts: 1 New Member
I just got my scores back and I got a 760 on the Math 2 SAT II. I'm a little unhappy about it, because I know that the Math 2 one is supposed to be curved more than the other tests (i.e. it's easier to get an 800). So, I was wondering if a 760 is good enough for a top notch college (Ivy League).

anything over 700+ is acceptable but 750+ is preferable, if you can get it.
760 is about 8-12 wrong+missed, so if you are confident in math
and really want to get better scores, I dont think it is a bad idea to retake it.
If you are satisfied with 760, there is no reason to retake.
My friend got 790 in Math IIC in May test and was so ****ed that he decided take
it again next year in May after all college admissions are over

Math II is not curved more than the other tests. It's just that missing only 7 points is lot easier in Math than US History.

A 760 is actually a really good score, and I wouldn't fret about it too much. A 40 point increase, in my opinion, will not substantially help you into getting into Ivy's.

    NO, thats absolutely not true.

Math is much more curved than other tests in terms of the percentile thats required to get 800, meaning higher scores (other than 800) might be looked down upon.
Top 11% gets 800 while Bio is top 2-3% gets 800
Though I highly doubt a 760 math II subject test might hurt you in any admissions, its just not going to help you.

I wasn't talking about percentiles, I was talking about how many you can miss but still get an 800.

MathII: -7 is still an 800
MathI: -0 is the only 800
US History: -9 is still an 800
Physics: -12 is still an 800
