I'm taking the Kaplan Test Prep from Feb-Mar, does it help and does it work?

^Kaplan is rubbish. Never rely on it. If you score a 750 in its exams, on reality, your score is 600 or 650.

Kaplan really works itself to failure. So it works, but it's just that the result is phail.

I have taken a Kaplan SAT Prep course last summer. It isn't as terrible as most CC members claim it is, but you are able to achieve the same results by self-studying from the blue book. The main part of the prep that actually helped was just taking practice tests under timed conditions to simulate the real SAT testing conditions. This helped me improve from 2070 to a 2240, but I only scored a 2360 on the October 9 SAT by self-studying the rest of the way with the Blue Book.

wait Im taking the janurary SAT and im using the kaplan practice tests book but the tests seem different from princentons. which one is more reliable? cause I dont want to waste my time doing those tests if they suck

and by blue book, do you mean the college board one? (hahah sorry im stupid)

Use the college board one over Kaplan and Princeton review. Your first choice of practice book should be the College Board Official SAT Study Guide. I've heard that Princeton Review seems to be more reliable than Kaplan, but don't use those until you fully exhaust the tests in the Blue Book (College Board's book).

There is also a free SAT Practice Test on the College Board website whith explanations that is a previously administered test and will be a very good resource.
