National Merit SAT requirements

I know the National Merit Scholarship is based mostly on the PSAT. What are the minimum scores required on the SAT to become a National Merit Finalist?

    9/10/09 seems to be the big announcement day.

    I would like to know how closely the PSAT score (adding a zero) and the SAT score need to be. Anybody?

    I'm wondering this too.

    PSAT = 226
    SAT = 2150

    Should he retake?

    Yes retake!!! The PSAT says he can get a 2260. More acceptances to colleges, honors programs, merit awards$$$, and national merit would come with a higher SAT. REDO! A better score in reading/writing will come with even 1 year of maturity- especially for a boy. Also look at a SAT book for advice- not necessarily practice tests.
