How important are SATIIs?

How important are the SATIIs relative to the SATI. Would a 2350-2400 make up for a low SATI?

I think that depends on your university choice. I mean for MIT or any other engineering school SAT IIs are very important. Recently, I found that some guy from India was accepted to MIT with only SAT I 1800 and SAT II 2400 (he also received 100% scholarship). So my answer would be "Yes".
