Okay so in the listening section of the test are we allowed to take notes on the test booklet as we listen? Or are we allowed to take mental notes only? I'm so confused! Thank you in advance

My understanding is that you're allowed to take notes in the test booklet, just as you're allowed, by default, to use the booklet as scratch paper for the Math, Physics, and Chemistry tests and as annotation space for the Literature one. The listening prompts can last for over a minute; it'd be a little unreasonable to expect everyone to remember everything in his or her head, as many would have enough problems with this when delivered in their native language.
