Self Study AP Chem while taking regular...?

I'm a sophomore currently taking Chemistry at my school. I've been considering self-studying for the AP Chemistry exam. Do you think I should go for it now, wait until next year, or not try it at all? My school only offers regular Chemistry (I have an A+ in it).

self study next year. normal chemistry is a LOT easier than AP.
I was in honors Chem last year and we didn't go much deeper than this class.

AP chem is a monster... O.O

If your school only has reg. chem... thats probably a sign that the course isn't going to be anything close to chem 101.

Finish your chem class then go through one of the chem prep books. you won't remember seeing any of it.
