Financial Aid

I didn't apply for financial aid before the deadline. I had no idea that I needed to apply to the financial aid separately, as I thought FAFSA covered everything I needed to do. What should I do? The website said that I would have to have at least 64 credits before I could qualify for Smith grant aid.

How accommodating is the financial aid office for mistakes like these? Should I call them and plead this case? Please help!

They seem pretty strict with their deadlines. It's worth it to try and contact them about the issue, but I wouldn't expect much.

Maybe there's some hope? A few days ago, they gave me more aid after I told them about some adjustments to my family's income, so there's still some money in the pot.
