Chances for scholarship at SMU

My son is a senior at a very large high school in the midwest. He is thinking business or engineering and currently has SMU high on his list. We will not qualify for any financial assistance. Does he have any chance of getting some scholarship money?

GPA 4.0 (4.3 weighted)
ACT 30
solid extra-cirriculars and decent rigor (finishing strong with 5 AP classes senior year)

Yes, I would say there is a good chance that he will receive a merit scholarship. If he has good leadership experience, he should also apply for the Hunt Leadership Scholarship. Plus, beyond the main SMU scholarship it is possible your son may be offered a departmental scholarship from the business school or engineering school.

I also have very similar stats. Not as many APs (3 vs. 5), but everything else is basically the same. Thanks for the comment
