To assist students and their families as they navigate changes due to COVID-19, College Confidential is hosting a panel discussion, via webinar, that will provide them the opportunity to hear from financial aid professionals regarding:

- the impact on financial aid awards due to potential reduced ability to pay;
- how to work with schools if you are experiencing financial hardship;
- whether limits to on-campus work-study options are impacting aid packages;
- potential tuition changes; and
- other strategies for students to obtain aid to pay for college.

You can ask questions for the webinar by replying in this thread.

    Since I'm considering on attending USC as a Biology major, how can I maximize how much financial aid is given to me? I qualify for free tuition, but housing and other fees are still quite expensive.

    This question is not about financial, but the health safety of students and faculties. When school reopens, would there be a strict screening process for all staff and students, and perhaps isolation for the positive ones? Would wearing mask be required for all? I am seriously concerned whether school could open before vaccines become available.

    My son just got accepted to Princeton. When he applied we were sure we'd be able to afford it but now with us being laid off due to (Covid-19) with 5 kids and no income we are digging into the college fund of my oldest and are running out of funds rapidly. I am wondering if I write a letter of appeal to the financial aid office would they even consider it? since everyone is being impacted by the Covid-19 in some way or another. thoughts?

    As an international student (ineligible for financial aid), is it possible for a college to reconsider my scholarship award?
