Going abroad next year in the USA from Europe. Studying a degree in humanities. Looking for the following from my year abroad:

- Good for humanities.
- Preferably a city.
- Transportation to NYC, Chicago, Philly and DC. Or if on W/C - LA, SF, Seattle, Portland and San Diego (Not essential but I'd like to explore).
- Lots to do in the city.
- Good music scene.
- More females than males.
- Little international student presence.
- Friendly students.

I go to the University of Oregon. To me it satisfies all your conditions very well. There's somewhat of an international student presence from Asian countries in our science classes, but since you study the humanities, they should be easy to avoid.
