what are academics like at University of Hong Kong?

Hello all!

I will be studying abroad at HKU this upcoming fall and would love any advice about the academics there! I've heard it's a pretty tough and competitive school, and the students rely heavily on independent study because lectures will only be once or twice a week...

does anyone know about the BIOC 3601 (Basic Metabolism) and BIOL 3205 (Human Physiology) classes? I plan on taking these there and I'd like to gauge how difficult they'll be (I know they'll be difficult of course, I'm just fishing for some advice really).

if anyone has any clue on what I can expect while abroad at HKU please let me know! Thanks :)
