Is 5k for the summer at Cornell architecture program worth it?

If you went, how did you feel about it? Did the program help you decide if you wanted to be an architect?

I am really interested in architecture but not sure i f I want to devote my college life to an extremely rigorous arch program only to decide I hate it!

The problem is that $5000 is really expensive and though my parents are willing to pay, I'm not sure how I feel about spending all that money! They have to save for my college tuition too so I don't want to put that big of a financial strain on them!
