Summer programs?

I received letter from a couple of summer programs such as, the national youth leadership forum, the global youth summit on the future of medicine, national student leader ship conference, and some pre-college summer programs from colleges. I wanted to know if these are legitimate or look good on a college application. Thanks.

Summer programs that you have to pay thousands of dollars to attend, do not look that impressive. Check out the Summer Program threads under Pre-College Issues for useful information.
