Boston Area Medical Research/Internships

I am looking into various opportunities for volunteer/research in the medical field around Boston for high school upperclassmen. I applied to the TAHSS program at Tufts, and I was wondering if anyone had any information about when I should expect to hear back from them.

Depending on whether I get into TAHSS, I am also considering applying to

- the Young Scholars Program at Northeastern
- Boston Children's Hospital SCOOP program

Has anyone had experience in these programs? If so, do you know the relative selectivity of the program? More importantly, did you feel that you gained something from it?

Thanks in advance! :)
