any science research programs for RISING JUINORS that are EITHER free or stipend paying for NON-disadvantaged students?

Ideally, they have residential options...

Please let me know any recommendations or links... Thanks!

My DD is a junior at Penn State. This past summer she was accepted to their REU/RET program. She had eight weeks paid research($4,000). Housing, food, and gas money (she had to travel some to do her research) were all included, separate from the $4k. At the end of her eight weeks she presented her research at a symposium. With this REU she was paired with a professor, TA, and a helper (to carry equipment and so she wouldn't be alone when collecting samples in the woods). She is not a minority, disadvantaged, or top of her class student. It was a great experience and she is continuing the research with her professor and will use it for her senior thesis. There were kids from several other colleges (Bennington, UMass - Amherst, and others) represented by other researchers. So, it's not just a Penn State program. But, it was held at Penn State.

I'm sorry I don't know how to put in a link, but if you search Penn State REU there are several sites.

Note: RSI mentioned above is only for rising seniors, but may be worth looking into a year in advance, just so you are prepared for the application next year.
