I thought I'd start a thread for this program since I don't see one yet. The application is open. I know it's an awesome program. Anyone else applying?

Does anyone know by how much my chances would be lowered if I'm just now applying? I have my components all in but I'm still waiting on administrator approval for payment.

Also, does anyone know how many students apply a year approximately?

having the same issue here. the priority review deadline is march 1st which means anything submitted within that deadline should be given full consideration for admission. however i've been waiting on administrator approval for the eventbrite application fee payment ($50) since wednesday. i've emailed [email protected] to see if this can be resolved by tomorrow

also i read somewhere on CC that the acceptance rate was around 15% and their official site says they accept 90 students every year. i guess an estimate of around 600 students apply (???)

Does anyone know how long will it take for administrator to approve the form and transcript?......

@ftrkbl up to 5 business days. . . looks like we're missing the priority deadline :|

I wouldn't worry about the priority deadline thing...when I spoke to the director at JSEHS she said they just say that to try to encourage applicants to get their stuff in, since there is no real deadline. It's truly rolling admissions and they accept all the way through April/May. My sister was accepted mid may after submitting April 30 a few years ago and got full financial aid. So everyone relax, and just get your stuff in! Also, they won't hold a delay against you if you submitted and are just waiting for their approval.... They probably have a ton of documents to review and it's a very small office staff.

From what I have seen in collegeconfidential (UF 2019 UF2018), the results come out in waves. The first wave of results come out in 03/07 last year. I'm not sure it is a real rolling or not...

oK I got my form and transcript approved and I submitted my application. Good luck everyone! It seems like the uf sstp is not a widely-known program for students outside Florida. The sstp at iowa is somehow more famous.

I submitted today too. I'm a little surprised by the low acceptance rate, my guess would be more around 40%? Since I would assume a similar amount of people would apply to FSU YSP and UF SSTP, and around 200 a year apply to YSP...

Nope :( Wondering how the university shutdown/transition to online will affect this- not just admissions but if it is even offered <so worried>

They just moved all summer classes to online. I really don’t think there will be an SSTP

That would be so upsetting. I really like this program a lot.

That’s great news. Now I wonder when first round of acceptances will come out!

Honestly, pretty sure all residential-based summer programs will not be happening for 2020.

I honestly can’t see SSTP saying yes and the school saying no to its summer admits. Logically that doesn’t make sense

They sent out an email saying that status notifications had been delayed, but they didn't provide a date. Does anyone have a guess of when notifications will come out?
