Transfer Student Recs

Hello. I am applying to Stony Brook as a transfer student. I cannot seem to find the address for where I should send my recommendations as a transfer or do I send them to the same address as the first students? If someone could respond that would be great. Thank you for your help in advance.

We don't specifically require recommendations for most programs, but yes, you can send them to our regular processing address:

    Stony Brook Admissions Processing
    279 Broadway
    Albany, NY 12204-2755

Or fax them to 631-632-9898, or email them to enroll@stonybrook.edu.

Hello. I have a question. Can I get into the amazing Stony Brook University with a 3.2 gpa as a transfer student for fall 2016 semester with my high school gpa since I have less than 24 credits?

Knowing that the minimum gpa is 3.0
