Newhouse/Whitman dual program

I've been agonizing as to whether or not I should apply for the Newhouse/Whitman dual program. I would be applying to TRF in Newhouse and Marketing in Whitman. It seems like a fantastic opportunity and getting both business and communications courses would be great. What's holding me back though is that Whitman is your home college and I'm much more interested in Television than I am Marketing and don't know if having to take the Whitman core courses (which I hear there are a lot of and that are pretty math heavy) would be beneficial. I'm just looking for some insight into the program, any help would be greatly appreciated, thx.
