I don’t consider PA to be New England. My cousins lived in PA and they were ‘southerners’ as far as we were concerned. I lived in Baltimore. It is below the Mason-Dixon line and Southern.
I was born in Mass. That is NE. Not sure most from Mass consider NJ as part of NE and probably only parts of NY.
But OP can define what she’s looking for.
