Best undergrad marcom programs

New poster here, but I like what I’ve read so far, so it looks like someone out there might have some info!

Me: mom, Looking for: daughter, 16 - junior yr. B+ student, all around good kid. Not ivy league material, but strong student with great potential.

A communications school with a strong marketing program would be ideal for her. On our short list now: Emerson & Ithaca, plus any of the colleges in Virginia: ODU, VCU, GMU. Looking for others that we might have missed? Or, opinions on the above? There are tons of great marketing schools, but she’s so creative the communications side has to be strong. I know she could do a major/minors program, or go on for a masters later… but just wondering if there are any colleges that are leaning toward the marcom combo?

Thanks!

I actually wouldn’t suggest Emerson. It’s strictly a communications school and doesn’t really offer other options. The thing is - the average undergraduate changes their major 5 times. You don’t want to limit her.

Ithaca could be good though.

And staying in-state wouldn’t be a bad option either, as it would save her money for grad school.

She may want to look at Mizzou as well. One of the top communications schools in the country.
