"Best Value" Biological Sciences/Pre-medicine

With all this talk about “Best Value” colleges, I thought it might be more helpful to know what the best value schools are for specific areas of study. I’m hoping to major in biology or chemistry, and go on to medical schools, and was wondering what schools have both a good reputation and are affordable (especially if there are good scholarships such as NMF).

Alabama and Baylor come immediately to mind for strength in biology and chemistry, while offering generous to full tuition waiver for NMFs.

I agree.

Yes…it’s a good idea to minimize undergrad costs when you have med school ahead of you.

Are you a junior with a high PSAT score?

Can you do a college visit?

Yes, I’m a junior, and I got a 227 on PSAT, definitely well enough to qualify as a SF in Texas. I’m thinking of visiting Baylor soon, but probably won’t make it until the summer.
