Better to say "white" or "other/prefer not to answer"

I was just wondering, on standardized tests, scholarship applications, etc., would it help if I put "other/prefer not to answer" in the race section as opposed to just putting "white"?

If you’re white, then what’s the point of obscuring the truth? Trying to game the system is useless

You could, but they might take the worst case scenario, assume you’re asian and make it really hard for you to get in.
