<p>No, I just wanted to know because I’m pretty sure my essay will suck (on the account Imp a bad writer with almost no ecs) so, I wanted to know how much my GPA will make up for that, if at all.</p>

<p>You don’t need ECs to come up with a decent PS and you don’t need to be a good writer either (preparation and many drafts comes a long way…)</p>

<p>Minimum GPA should be around 3.0 to 3.2 for consideration, i’m not really sure though. This low GPA only apply for students that have significant issues in their lives such as the need to support a family, or illness, etc. It is also reserved for students who have unique and stellar EC’s.</p>

<p>The question you should ask is how much weight they put on EC’s and essays in order to better gauge your chances. Also, searching the boards for UCB soc accepted students will help.</p>
