Calculus Question

<p>Could someone help integrate this?: (x^2-2)/x … we have yet to learn how to integrate functions that are associated with the quotient rule. Thank you!</p>

<p>Um, what I would do first is break it up.<br>
First you have (x^2-2)/x =
x-(2/x)
You don’t have to worry about the scenario of x=0 since it is not a factor in the original equation.</p>

<p>Next just integrate. The integral of x is just (x^2)/2 and the integral of (2/x) is just 2ln(x). So you get (x^2)/2 - 2ln(x) + c.</p>
