Bump Bump Bump Bump

You are definitely in at UF.

Also, I was in Mu Alpha Theta 10,11,12 and took a class at a local community college

fantastic chance at ed cornell

even if I am an international?

Aren’t you in the US…?

I am, but I still have to apply as an international because I am not a US citizen.

Not if you’re a permanent resident.

“I am, but I still have to apply as an international because I am not a US citizen.”

What is your immigration status?

Also, you say you are Ssian and then you list URM as a hook. Asians generally aren’t considered URM unless you are a pacific islander.

I never put URM as a hook. It clearly says none for hooks. My dad got deployed here as an air force officer

“I never put URM as a hook. It clearly says none for hooks.”

OK, I see that now. I apologize for the error.

“My dad got deployed here as an air force officer”

What country’s air force? Is it the Canadian Air Force and your dad is stationed here pursuant to a NORAD Agreement?

[UF Admissions](http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/residency/exception.html)

let’s just keep it simple and say that I HAVE to apply as an international to my schools.

Are you being recruited for football?

I’m not really planning on playing football in college

bump bump bump

bump! anyone else?

pretty good shot at all schools, rice even, rice is known for not accepting many out of states but since your sister goes there i dont know perhaps you have a better chance; cornell for ED you look solid, cornell is kind of like rice in NY because they are a land-grant instutiton and have to admit x amount of NYS residents per year but other than that you check out for pretty much all your schools, UF as said is pretty much guranteed in; Penn and Brown perhaps a reach

only thing is with the internatial student thing thats a really gray and messy area, so im not sure how thats going to affect it because i most likely will in some way shape or form but i may be wrong who knows?

chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1022124-my-chances-hopkins-ed.html</a></p>

bump bump boom…

First, the UC schools unfortunately will not give you aid, so at $50K they don’t sound realistic for a family making $60k.

The ivies on your list are not need blind to internationals so they will be major reaches with your scores.

My inclination would be to add some more privates known for generous aid to internationals that are less competitive and don’t get as many Asian applicants. Grinnell, St. Olaf and Bates come to mind.
