CHANCE CHANCE CHANCE for EMORY!!! (I'll chance you back!!!)

I'm a senior in high school. Here's my stats:

9th Grade-
Honors Biology
Honors Algebra II
Honors World Geography
Honors 9th Grade Lit

10th Grade-
Honors Chemistry
Honors Geometry
Honors World History
Honors 10th Grade Lit

11th Grade:
AP U.S. History (scored a 5)
AP Biology (scored a 4)
AP English Language and Composition
Honors Trigonometry

12th Grade- (I live in Screven County, Georgia, which is about a thirty minute drive from Georgia Southern University, so I took all my classes as a Senior at GSU except for one. I know that the credits won't transfer but my high school doesn't offer many quality AP classes so my parents and I felt this was the best route.)
ENGL 1101
ENGL 1102
MATH 1113 (Pre-Cal)
MATH 1441 (Cal I)
ECON 2105 (Global Economics)
POLS 1101(American Government)
AP Psychology (my only class at my high school)

I have an unweighted GPA of 4.0. Never made a B in my life.
SAT- 1420 plus 710 writing
ACT- 33

What are my chances for Emory? ED or Regular? I'll chance back!

ehhh emory's tough? do ED only if you reallyreallyreally wanna go and make sure your essay is ballin :) good luckkkkkk

what are your ec's?
w/o that i really dont know, but id say (based on your stats) match ED and high match regular
chance me back!

just looking oh ur scores... i would say you have a good chance, a low reach, since i dont know how competitive ur school is ur extra cur.

;/a>

Tough to say.
My friend with a 4.5 GPA and SAT score of 1410 got in.
But then I know 2 people with 4.4 GPA and SAT scores of 1440, one got waitlisted. The other was deferred (early action).

Not great EC's:

Did a lot of volunteer work for Obama's campaign. (Voter registration, canvassing, phone banking, etc.) Also a member in Beta Club, National Honor Society, Model United Nations(won several awards), have worked 2 part-time jobs simultaneously since ninth grade.

Public High School. Not very competitive I guess. Currently ranked 6th out of 335 students.

You'll definitely get into regular and ED. Congrats!
Chance me back please.
;/a>

Your in the top 10 which is impressive, and even though you dont have a high weighted GPA, the fact that you still have a 4.0 is still impressive. Your SAT score- i was a bit confused by it 1420 and then 710 writing for a total of 2130? Or does the 1420 include your 710 writing? i'm gonna guess its the first one. in which case i think you have a REALLY solid chance of getting in at emory
my friend had a really bad GPA, test scores like yours, and average ECs..and still got in. good luck!
p.s. if you have time you should chance me. if not no worries :P

My best friend got in ED and her stats weren't nearly as impressive as yours.
She had a 4.3 weighted GPA (not sure what it was unweighted) with about 4 AP's and the rest honors.
29 ACT
1360/1600 SAT (perfect reading score)
1980/2400 SAT
100 hours of community service (require by school)
and played basketball all 4 years.

You shouldn't have had a problem. Did you get in??

yeh man you have a prty good chance at emory. Colleges like the fact that your trying and considering that you went to GSU and did your courses. good luck, chance me as well.

I think you have a solid chance, maybe less of a chance because you are from Georgia but if you apply ED then you should get in.

wow... so looking at the date you are likely already at emory? haha... i'd have chanced you at 75% with the stats you gave tho EC's were somewhat lacking. i think it's really admirable that you took all those college courses!

chance me? ;/a>

you will definitely get into emory! my friend goes there and he didn't nearly have as many AP's and Honors .

chance me ? ;/a>

Screven County's a challenge (speaking as a Jeff Davis County HS alum who wanted to go to Stanford 30 years ago; settled for Georgia (my parents' and grandparents' alma matar, instead)). Emory's within the realm of possibility for you, though!

did you visit...emory is big on visiting the campus because they feel it shows demonstrated interest!!!

other than that, you look like you have a solid chance getting in regular, maybe you should apply ED to somewhere that is not such a sure shot

My cousin got accepted into Emory and had kind of the same stats that you do so I think you're a match.. EC's would help especially if you hold leadership positions.

Good luck! ;/a>

you're definitely getting in. i know a couple of freshman there and they're gpa/sat scores weren't as high as yours.
