<p>Hello! I am currently a hs senior from Hawaii. I really want to go to college on the mainland and I was thinking of going to these schools:</p>

UC Merced
NDNU
Pacific University
Washington State U </p>
<p>I know I’m not like all of these other cc posters who have high gpa’s and outstanding ec’s along with high test scores, but from where I come from, about 5% of students end up leaving the island for college while the majority goes to cc and a smaller amount of the majority go to the other universities on the islands.</p>

volunteer at local elementary’s after school program for 3 hrs every tuesdays and thursdays

<p>couple hours of community service - not sure on the exact amount</p>
<p>I’d also like help on my lack of ec’s. I don’t have so much mainly because I have many responsibilities at home. My mom works two jobs, BK and McD’s while my step dad’s a roofer - so I watch my 8 yr old sister whenever when school finishes and during the weekends when my parents are at work as well. Is there a way that I could bring this aspect from my life out for colleges to know,for example, in my essay?</p>
<p>And another question: I’m considering going into pharmacy and only Pacific and WSU have pre pharm and pharmacy schools. However, I do know about UCSF in Cali. If I apply to the other schools on my list (UCM, USFCA, NDNU), do you think it would be fine to major in psych as long as i get my pre reqs done at those colleges and keep my grades up along with any other things that will help me get into UCSF?</p>
